The Kearl Oil sands Laboratory building is unique, as it was built as five modules in Calgary, disassembled and then shipped to Kearl for final assembly and systems testing. The project was executed on an extremely aggressive schedule and utilized comprehensive 3D modeling, down to the last detail, to ensure schedule dates were met as a requirement for “First Oil” on site.

 

T&M was responsible for all mechanical services, including sheet metal, sprinklers, insulation, building management systems, 3D Modeling, BIM Integration, Commissioning and quality assurance.
