Located approximately 120 km’s northeast of Winnipeg, Pine Falls is the last generating station to use the Winnipeg River’s abundant waters before reaching Lake Winnipeg at Traverse Bay. The generating station consists of 6 Hydraulic Turbine Generators with a total 84 Megawatt capacity.

TMIC was responsible for the mechanical services associated with the dismantling, refurbishment and installation of all components for the complete overhaul of three hydraulic turbine generators.TMIC performed this work on a Target Price cost-reimbursable basis which resulted in cost savings to Manitoba Hydro of over 25% from the approved budget.
