Constructing a temporary post-disaster building

The project involved the construction of a post-disaster government office building, constructed to be self-sufficient for three days. Our scope of work included an underground cistern and diesel power backup to achieve this goal. T&M was responsible for all aspects of the mechanical systems installation: plumbing, HVAC, controls, sprinklers, sheet metal and the dual emergency generator system.

Bentall 5 - Phase 3

T&M was the Mechanical Contractor for this project. Scope of work included all HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler installation for Phase 3 of Bentall 5, an office tower in downtown Vancouver. This was the phase 3 of the vertically phased construction project.


Bentall 5 - Phase 2

Phase 2 of 3

Phase 2 of the Bentall 5 building consisted of the construction of an 11-storey addition to an existing 22-storey office building, complete with exterior landscaping, plaza and pavilion. Complete scope of work included all concrete, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.

Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre

Expanding the Rec Centre

T&M was the Mechanical Contractor on this project, working closely with a design-build team.  Phase 2 of the Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre included an additional level constructed on the existing 22,000-sq.ft. facility. This new level offers and houses a multitude of additional services to the citizens of Surrey.

UBC Faculty of Law

Achieving LEED Gold status

This project involved the construction of a new 150,000-sq.ft., 6-level building within the East Mall District of UBC. The facility serves as a classroom, lecture hall and office — all centered around the academic teaching of Law.

Health on 12th


Getting the Health Centre off the ground

Trotter & Morton managed mechanical construction of the downtown Sheldon M. Chumir Centre, also known as Health on 12th. The new facility provides 24/7 urgent care, x-ray, community health, mental health and laboratory services. 

T&M was responsible for all mechanical services, including sheet metal, sprinklers, insulation, building management systems, commissioning and quality assurance. 


Chinook Centre Expansion

Expanding one of Calgary's busiest malls

The Chinook Centre Expansion is a two-storey addition to the northeast corner of the existing facility. The project involved building two levels of cast-in-place concrete underground parking and two levels of structural steel mall addition.


Building CP Rail's new offices

Trotter & Morton Mechanical was awarded the contract for CP Rail’s new office building. The building is two storeys and is approximately 214,000 sq.ft., spread out over two levels.
