Our Commercial Electrical division provides electrical installations for new construction projects and renovations. It has successfully completed some of the most sophisticated projects in the Calgary area, including the Alberta Children's Hospital, new Airport Terminal Facilities, and the South Health Campus.
Areas of expertise include power distribution, backup power solutions, lighting, fire alarm, security, nurse call, tenant improvements/fit-ups, and voice and data. We are also experienced in LEED Platinum and LEED Gold.
Trotter & Morton’s Data Communication Team has been installing data network and other systems cabling for over ten years. We are trained and equipped to provide all of your network cabling requirements including MAC work (moves, adds, changes), new builds, renovations, project management and troubleshooting. The team also offers consulting services to assist in your design needs, using our extensive experience in design and installation of both optical cable plants and high-speed copper networks using category 5E, 6 and 6A solutions. We are certified with all the major cabling system vendors, and can offer their performance warranty with your installation.
Our Electrical Service Division provides 24-hour service for critical electrical systems repairs. Our Infrared Thermography Team offers factory-trained technicians to pinpoint electrical problems before they become life-threatening or cause unscheduled downtime. Using out FLIR Systems IR Camera, we can provide you with a report that will allow you to schedule critical repairs during your next scheduled shutdown. We have extensive experience in the installation of backup power systems, UPS systems for critical computer loads as well as diesel generators for longer term backup power. We can also design and install energy efficient lighting systems to reduce your operating expenses and environmental impact.
Our Security Team develops enterprise solutions with open-source security architecture and maintenance packages to fit the unique needs of your business. By integrating our security and electrical services, we deliver a smart-building system that provides you with a better management and maintenance experience after construction is complete. We offer a wide variety of security services, including access and identity management, IP video and video management, intrusion and perimeter detection, alarm monitoring, building automation, intercoms and communications systems, mass notification systems, electronic locking systems, and wireless communications.
Our Audio Visual Team provides full-service audio visual solutions from planning and designing through pre-wiring and preparing the site to installing and programming the final components of your audio visual system. We can help you navigate the constantly evolving field of audio visual technologies to find the right products and solutions for your needs. Some of our audio visual services include design and consultation services, public address systems of all sizes, display and digital signage solutions, system automation, AV networks, video systems, sound masking, and intelligent and architectural lighting.
Trotter & Morton’s Mechanical Division provides services to the municipal, commercial, institutional, residential and industrial sectors such as hospitals, office towers, shopping centres, airports, hotels, water and wastewater treatment facilities, multistory residential, warehouses and educational institutions. The Mechanical Division can complete mechanical installations for almost any application.

Trotter & Morton Precision Metal is a diverse custom metal fabricator with a comprehensive background in metal fabrication and manufacturing, dedicated to producing the highest quality metal products and providing customer service second to none.
Our highly skilled and diversely experienced staff pride themselves on delivering quality products that exceed customer expectations. Working with architects, engineers, or by specification, Precision Metal uses the latest design and fabrication software (i.e., Solidworks, AutoCAD, and FabriWIN) to accurately produce an extensive range of metal products on our CNC laser/turret, CNC brakes, and other modern machinery.
Precision Metal can maintain tight tolerances, and precisely build your product within general machine shop tolerances. Although specializing in custom work, Precision Metal is well-equipped to service customers with larger volume production needs. Our facility is a certified provider of CSA enclosures, Type 1 – Series S, and Type 4X, servicing the Alberta oil, gas, and pipeline markets. Precision Metal also builds custom-rated, skid-mounted junction boxes for the bitumen mining market.
Precision Metal is a Canadian Welding Bureau certified (W47.1 division 2) shop with a strong background in the fabrication of industrial, structural, architectural, and institutional products.
We offer a full range of services, including CWB welding services: SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, for carbon and stainless steel; product development services, ranging from 3D modeling and drafting through to finished prototypes, one-off custom metal projects, repeatable production runs, as well as numerous finishing options, including plating, polishing, powder coating, and silk screening.
