Our History

Trotter & Morton’s rich and diverse history spans for nearly a century. Over that time, we have grown in size, skill, and specialty. Who we are and where we've come from drives us to continue to move forward.
August 9, 1927
  • W.B. Trotter and Howard Morton partner to create Trotter & Morton.
1930s
  • T&M hires William (Curly) Watson, Alberta’s first certified ticketed plumber.
1940s
  • Curly Watson spends four years working on Airfield Hangars used in WWII for training.
  • T&M works on hangars in Calgary, Nanton, and Claresholm.
  • T&M works on Kananaskis and Medicine Hat POW camps.

In 1927, Trotter & Morton began its journey as a plumbing and heating company with a pioneering spirit.

Today, the Trotter & Morton Group of Companies continue as a diverse group of building trades experts from Vancouver to Winnipeg and Seattle to San Antonio. We offer a unique integrated solution for our client—beginning with site preparation, advancing through all aspects of construction, and continuing after the build with ongoing maintenance.
