Project Details

The Calgary & Area Child Advocacy Centre (C.A.C.),previously known as the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre (2018), provides a safe space for children and youth (under the age of 18) who are victims of physical and sexual abuse. This Centre houses 115 professionals from Calgary Police Services, Alberta Health Services, Child and Family Services, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (R.C.M.P.), and other organizationsto assess, treat, and seek justice for physically and sexually abused children. The goal of these professionals is to reduce the long-term impact of trauma and enable children and families to recover and live a happy, healthy, and productive future.

Trotter & Morton is proud to of worked on such an important and vital project for our community. Child abuse is a community owned issue that requires collaboration to ensure our children’s future. As of March 31, 2019, 17,032 children have visited the Child Space at the C.A.C. since its opening in 2013.
