The new Cascades Casino in Delta, British Columbia is a 161,000sqft facility that includes a 40,000sqft casino floor, with over 500 slot machines and 24 game tables, and an attached 5-storey hotel. The casino floor will also feature signature brands such as Match Eatery & Public House, Atlas Steak + Fish, and The Buffet. In order to promote better security and personal safety, the Casino will also offer cashless gaming systems.

Trotter & Morton was brought in during the design phase of the Cascades Casino project to collaborate with ElllisDon, the Owner (Gateway Company), and the design consultants to propose alternative materials and equipment. After a detailed technical review of the proposed changes, it was recognized that these scope changes significantly reduced the construction costs and added long term value to the Owner. These changes to the initial suggested materials inherently reduce life cycle maintenance costs through modern, longer lasting materials and system components. Additionally, these changes doubled the life expectancy of the piping system and reduced the mechanical construction scope by $300,000.00.

Due to the value added in the design phase, Trotter & Morton was awarded the Mechanical scope for the Cascades Casino Project which included project accounting, cost estimating, project scheduling, safety, and quality control for all phases of the project. All own forces labour and subcontractors (Controls, Fire Protection, Insulation, Sheet Metal and Seismic), plumbing, heating and cooling, and equipment supply and install.
