Whaler constructed and supplied Blower Building (28-R-606) for CNRL’s DDA2 Fluid Transfer System project. Our scope included the design of the steel connections, design of the building lighting, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing and commissioning, and preparation for shipment of the Blower Building. This building included a mechanical room and an electrical room with an exterior transformer platform. Upon completion, the building was delivered to Canadian Natural’s Horizon Oil Sands site located in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Whaler collaborated with Rambler Fabrication and successfully completed the mechanical and electrical scope on time and on budget to safely complete this project during the Covid pandemic.
