Draw Energy was selected to deliver a comprehensive electrical and instrumentation scope for a diesel fuel storage tank farm project in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The project included skid fabrication, construction of an MCC building and office building, and the supply and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems for a 160-million-litre diesel fuel storage facility complete with fire suppression.
Key elements of the electrical scope included 1,800 metres of 36-inch cable tray, a security system with 10 cameras, three truck loading and unloading stations, a fire suppression system with two 200 HP fire pumps, a 450 kW generator, and a 1,200 sq. ft. pumphouse building. Instrumentation work consisted of tank radar fuel measurement systems, monitoring instruments for fuel storage and transportation, and stainless steel tubing installations.
With a total project value of $2,000,000, Draw Energy successfully completed commissioning and start-up, delivering the project on time and on budget.
