The Evergreen Extension (previously known as the Evergreen Line) is an extension of the Millennium Line and part of the Metro-Vancouver Sky Train Rapid System. The new line connects Port Moody and Coquitlam to the Lougheed Town Centre Station in Burnaby to improve mobility to Metro Vancouver and reduces an estimated 40,000 car trips from city roads.
Six new stations were built as part of the 11km extension and two existing stations were upgraded. These stations are integrated with the Metro Vancouver bus/public transit network and West Coast Express network.
