Continuing the renovations and upgrades to Foothills Medical Centre (FMC), the 7th-floor renovation of McCaig Tower consisted of a previously shelled space converted into testing, research, and administration facility for Calgary Lab Services. It relocated Calgary Lab Services from the main building at FMC to the newly built McCaig Tower in order to reduce constraints and modernize the laboratory space.

Trotter & Morton was the Mechanical Construction Manager for the project and was responsible for all mechanical labour and subcontractors, accounting, cost estimating, project scheduling, safety, quality control, commissioning, and administrative services for the project. The own forces work on the project consisted of plumbing, medical gas, heating, and cooling, and mechanical equipment supply and install.
