The Simplot P2 expansion project in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba expanded their existing potatoes processing plant from 180,000 to 460,000 ft².The expansion will more than double the plant’s need for potatoes from regional growers. The J.R. Simplot Company potato processing plant in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, has an annual capacity of more than 300 million pounds (135 million kilos) of frozen French fries and formed potato products.

TMIC was responsible for the process of electrical installation including the installation of all owner-supplied MCC’s, Panels and associated electrical equipment. Supply and Installation of all conduits, cable trays, instrumentation, cables and terminations for the expansion including the raw receiving, process, packaging and utility areas. Over 1M linear feet of electrical cable was installed on this project.
