The Simplot P2 expansion project in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba expanded their existing potatoes processing plant from 180,000 to 460,000 ft². The expansion will more than double the plant’s need for potatoes from regional growers. The J.R. Simplot Company potato processing plant in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, has an annual capacity of more than 300 million pounds (135 million kilos) of frozen French fries and formed potato products.
TMIC was responsible for the receiving, erecting, rigging, with final assembly and anchoring on 600+ owner supplied pieces of packaging equipment including but not limited to RGV shuttles, conveyors, stretch wrappers, scales, platforms, airlocks and freezers, case packers and palettizing equipment.
